The atmosphere of Neptune is made up of hydrogen and helium with some methane. The methane absorbs red light, which makes the Planet appear a blue color. Neptune has 13 moons. This Planet was not known in the ancients times. Neptune is not visible to the naked eye. This Planet was first observed in 1846. Neptune was named after the Roman god of the sea. Neptune has five rings. The Planet rings are hard to see because they are dark and vary in density and size.
